Summary:
Support all operational areas regarding the measurement and test function.
Operational areas include, but are not limited to, design and development, mass production, purchased product and delivery / market product.
Performs any or all tasks indicated below as assigned.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily, first piece, and last piece inspection in a timely and accurate manner.
Includes filing all first piece sample parts and recording all first piece and last piece dimensional data.
Verify that the first piece and last piece sign-in/sign-out log sheets are completed and accurate.
Interpret and judge results.
Conduct 100% layouts and inspection including items such as PPAP, new part, and engineering sample layouts.
Teach and instruct regarding proper use and techniques for measuring and inspection.
Suggest and recommend supporting measuring techniques, efficiencies.
Proposal regarding alternative approaches and new equipment.
Issue set-up information packages and related gages to operators.
Review and verify that set-up packages are complete and related gages are accounted for upon return by operators.
Support and conduct auditing including dock audits.
Includes performing random process audits on finished goods.
Interpret and judge results.
Assist in the outside processing.
Conduct and support receiving inspection.
Perform general maintenance, 5S, and everyday upkeep of Measuring & Test Equipment and Metrology Lab.
Includes filing, cleanliness, organization, etc.
Develop programs and run Tensile tester and Vision Systems.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
All the above essential functions require varying degrees of physical activity, independence, judgment, and discretion and the ability to be mobile within the office and/or work area.

Minimum
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Experience in interpreting drawings and specifications.
Practical and comprehensive experience regarding Measuring and Test Equipment.
Including but not limited to basic measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages), CMM, optical comparators, and other metrology related equipment applied.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Education:
A 2-year technical degree in a related field.
Experience:
One to three years of Quality Assurance experience.
Experience working with a quality certification system.
Knowledge of GD&T.
One to three years experience in a manufacturing environment.
