Position
Summary:
Support and help maintain the uptime of the Production area by assisting with set-ups, debugging problems, and improving dies and tools.
Responsibilities:
-Service, repair, and maintain all tools.
Make new or replace broken or worn out details.
Check dies after servicing to insure stock-up is correct, everything is shimmed correctly and die clearance is good.
-Develop new details of dies with outdated or no blueprints.
Chart and measure the pice, machine and grind the part to blueprint specification.
Provide the new blueprint to Engineering to update their system.
-Run gneral Tool Room equipment such as milling machines, surface grinderss, saws, drill presses, CNC mills, lathes, EDM drill, AGIE Elox EDM machine, etc.
where needed to complete details or return dies to production.
-Work with the wire room, Engineering, and Production to find ways to improve a tool design to increase efficiency, productivity, product integrity, or repeatability.
-Maintain records on tool maintenance, request and repair forms.
Route changes to tools and dies to Engineering to update their records.
Complete detail route sheet for back-up tooling.
File all repair and request forms.
Skills:
- Proficient in the use of stamping presses and other related equipment - Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and specifications - Skilled in operating a variety of hand tools such as drills, grinders, and saws - Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with tooling Note:
